Mental Health Week Community Breakfast with guest speaker was Nicole Gibson (finalist for the Young Australian of the Year) discussed competitiveness between different ages, mental health illnesses don’t define who a person is, and bullying in schools and how that is correlated to attendance in remote communities.
Stanmore, with the assistance of Headspace Mackay, hosted a Mental Health First aid training course for 20 community members including SES volunteers, driving school instructors, medical practice staff, Scout leaders and after school music teachers.
Stanmore was privileged to sponsor the 4U2 concert held the Hornery Group Grounds with feature artists Shannon Noll and Busby Marou. This great event raised $52,000 for CQ Rescue and RBWH Foundation.
