Locals from across Moranbah recently donned their best dress and flocked to the Quota International of Moranbah’s 2019 Annual High Tea event to enjoy a cuppa and raise much-needed funds for charity.
More than $10,000 was raised for CQ Rescue and youth mental health initiatives from the event’s popular cent auctions and raffles.
Stanmore Coal’s Geology Superintendent Bronwyn Leonard and Senior HSEC Advisor Belinda Parfitt attended the high tea, and were proud to contribute $1,500 on behalf of Stanmore Coal, which supports a range of community events and initiatives in the region.
Quota Functions Coordinator Lynette Scott said the high tea has evolved to become a must-attend on the Moranbah events calendar.
“This year was incredibly successful, and we have our corporate sponsors and generous attendees to thank for that,” Lynette said.
“It’s fantastic to have an event that promotes liveability in mining towns, while also raising funds for worthy causes.”
